This place has instantly claimed the top spot as my ultimate breakfast destination! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with warm, attentive service. Every dish we tried was outstanding—the breakfast sandwich was bursting with flavor, and the chocolate chip pancakes were pure perfection. I’m still daydreaming about that rich, velvety Nutella latte—it was absolutely divine. The menu strikes the perfect balance between comforting classics and creative twists, making each bite a delight. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely brunch or a quick morning pick-me-up, this spot delivers on every level. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their incredible offerings—it’s a breakfast experience that lingers in your memory long after the last bite.

Cute space. Great for a casual , easy place to grab a bite. Had the breakfast sandwich on croissant (recommend substitute bacon for chicken sausage instead) and lemon pancakes.

The coffee was outstanding, and the food was fabulous! We really enjoyed chatting with the manager — she used to be a barista, so she truly knows her coffee. Staff very friendly and helpful .

Such an amazing little spot! The food was cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and the fruit was beautifully ripe. I especially loved that the pastries and dishes were balanced—not overly sweet or heavy with sugar. My only regret is not discovering this place sooner! Pro tip: Seating can be a little tricky at first. There’s a host stand if you’d like a table, or you can head straight to the line for takeout. Either way, you’ll place your order at the counter.

Love, love, love this coffee shop! The lounge and sitting areas are comfy and well kept. There is often so much natural light coming in from the big windows. Most importantly the coffee and service are amazing. The food selection is great for breakfast and lunch. But, fair warning, the baked goods are fresh, flaky and addictive. It can get crazy busy here but the staff do a great with helping you find a seat, clearing off table quickly or helping with to-go orders. Vickie, the Manager, is awesome. She keeps things moving and will stop and chat when it’s not so busy. All around my favorite coffee shop in the city! I moved from the neighborhood a year ago and still come back multiple times a week!

We visited Cupitol from Toronto while visiting and it easily became the best breakfast place I’ve ever been too! The service was exceptional. The food was phenomenal! I can’t stop thinking about the breakfast sandwich & chocolate chip pancakes. Also, the Nutella latte was to die for! I definitely will return!

Staying at the Blackstone Autograph we wanted a wonderful breakfast that was hot so we gave the Cupitol we ordered shroomed omelet, eggs with meat plate bacon and sausage, croissant sandwich with two eggs and sausage and Gruyère cheese, blueberry muffins and mixed seasonal fruit and a chocolate croissant.

Was a Chicago visitor for a day and a local recommended this place for breakfast. I really loved a wild mushroom omelette with cappuccino: amazing. Very nice atmosphere lots of space ,people can work there. Great location not far from Navy Pier. Very clean and modern.

The coffee was outstanding—smooth, creamy, and full of flavor—and the tiramisu was absolutely delicious: soft, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, ideal for relaxing, chatting, or spending quality time. The service was friendly and quick. I would definitely come back without hesitation. Highly recommended.

This was a great spot for breakfast. The prices were decent for downtown Chicago and the staff was friendly. The food was delicious! You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Nothing fancy, but very good food! Would definitely return.
